I liked this course but I think it works best for individuals who are planning to do ethnographic research similar to that of the instructor. The required books for the courses were, I thought, well chosen (although I found The Tape Recorded Interview could have been substituted by a briefer article with more technical suggestions) and had a great deal of helpful material. I also found the assignments to be useful. For people who are likely to use more mixed methods I think the focus of the class could prove frustrating. - Claudia
