ALISE

ALISE is the Association for Library and Information Science Education
Every year, ALISE holds a conference (usually in January), which is one of the major networking events for job searching for PhD students in LIS. In addition, GSLIS at UIUC has a tradition of having PhD students win awards in their poster sessions.
