John is the head of reference at the Urbana Free Library. He will bring you fine chocolates if you are in his class. Often it is said that his reference class is more suited to those who want to be public librarians.

He bikes everywhere and has a pet fish and two cats. His degrees are in Russian Literature and Mathematics. He has an uncanny power to memorize numbers.
