Professor Emerita (as of 9/1/07), formerly Dean (1986-2001) and formerly director of the Library Research Center.

Currently Principal Investigator on IMLS grant to look at how low-income people get government information in libraries and community technology centers. After that is finished she expects her research to be primarily secondary--following paths of curiousity (current one is to try to understand at the basic level some things about relativity, quantum physics and string theory--don't ask me why!)

She is good at constructing Surveys or interview questions, and is happy to help students improve their skills in these areas.

Consultant to academic and public libraries on outcome based evaluation--and works with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Bureau of Library Development on evaluation of their LSTA grants

Students can call her at home 217.359.9466 about salary negotiation--listen to her salary negotiation workshop talk online first.

Hobbies include knitting, reading, piano playing, training her lab to track.
