Museum Informatics AAT
From GSLISWiki
Collaborative Cataloging Experience with AAT.
I am very tired of catalogers showing how difficult it is to describe books and objects so instead we will conduct a collaborative cataloging effort using the AAT. On the Wiki is a reference to an object. Each individual in the class should edit the wiki to add additional information about the object. In class you will discuss why you chose the particular element that you did. You have three choices listed on the Wiki. The goal is to make the most extensive description possible. Place the description entries directly after the image. A version of the AAT is online at http://www.getty.edu/research/conducting_research/vocabularies/aat/
The Objects are Cupid and Psyche, 1796 Antonio Canova http://www.hermitagemuseum.org/html_En/03/hm3_3_3_1c.html
