From GSLISWiki
LIS 490MUG / LIS490MUU Museum Informatics Project Descriptions
Due: Friday March 31, 2006
Create a suitable link below from this Wiki Project's page to your own project page. There describe your project. \\ Consider (briefly) each of these topics. If you address all of the topics you will have a very complete report:
- Include a Title and names of all students participating in the project
- Preliminaries (you've already done this verbally in class to some extent)
- What it is about?*
- What you are trying to do?
- Why that would be a good thing to do?
- What has been done by other people in the past that is related?
- Ways in which your project will be better?
- Development work on a proof of concept (it may not be very big, it may not even work, it may be just a big pile of design sketches, but you have at least got started)
- What you have done so far to get something to work or to test out your idea
- Describe what it does.
- What were the approaches evaluated but not taken.
- Identify technological opportunities.
- Talk about design tradeoffs related to reaching the goals, constraints, and technical opportunities. (things like size, coverage, technologies to be used etc.)
- Some ideas for how to redesign the system based on thinking about these tradeoffs.
Link your project page here If you are part of a group combine your names below.
