Research Methods

From GSLISWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

There are a number of different methodologies that can be used in people's research. This page gives information on them, or links to more detailed discussions of each one. It also attemps to demonstrate different ways of looking at methodology.

It should be understood that the methods listed on this page are simply tools that a researcher can use to investigate Research Topics that are of interest to him or her (see also the Research Areas at GSLIS page). They have to do with the approach a researcher takes to his or her research, the methods by which he or she collects data, and the methods which he or she uses to analyze the data. This page is intended to show students a variety of different methods they can use, and link to pages which will demonstrate how to use these methods properly.
