Recently there was a request for where to go to get help getting your taxes done on Drinking GSLIS. Here are the results of that discussion, mostly anonymized, in (more or less) chronological order of posting. Feel free to add stuff. For Taxes: Martin, Hood, Friese & Associates, LLC are fantastic. Hood is a very good friend -- he does alot of accounting work for not-for-profits here in town. I like to reward the company by recommending them to others. And everyone who has tried them has been very pleased.

[edit] Negative: H&R Block in the Schnucks Plaza in Urbana
I'd avoid the H&R Block in the Schnucks Plaza in Urbana. I went there a few years ago and didn't think the customer service and attention I received was worth the price I paid. (I've been using TurboTax at home ever since; it's considerably cheaper and about as friendly.)
