ASIS&T is currently talking with Cameron & Ingbert about hosting a Wiki Workshop in Spring 2006. The following is an outline of what might be covered. Please feel free to contribute your ideas about what you'd like to learn about wikis.

IV. Mediawiki Installation & Configuration (hands-on if possible)
I think it might make sense to do III in the context of the hands-on part (at least III.C-III.D). I bet we could get everyone setup with a wiki installation... if GSLIS won't provide a server I am sure we can scrounge one up somewhere where everyone can play around then just junk it (I have a linux box to donate if nothing else). But the Classrm servers might be a good place to host this stuff.
I would be most comfortable doing the install with MediaWiki, but it might be worth having different people try different types of wiki, then we can compare together as a group and decide what we like/dislike about them. There is a fairly extensive list of different wiki systems to be found on the Portland Pattern Repository.
